Mini-Driver module
This is the basic unit, called a mini-driver. It has the ability to directly control 8 outputs and
can also be expanded to 32 outputs. Only the first 8, which are directly controlled by the microcontroller,
can operate time-multiplexed lamps (see later). There are two versions, the one on the left has only 8
outputs and room for extra circuitry (such as a Capacitive Discharge Unit and serial "FRAM" memory),
the unit on the right has 16 outputs.
